The Governor of California has just recently proposed a state budget that includes $5 million over three years to provide counsel to otherwise self-represented litigants in civil cases. Although nobody seems to have details yet about how the program would work, it’s probably some form of judicare.

One Response to “Schwarzenegger”

This sounds very interesting. Over the holidays, I launched a nonprofit advocacy group called H.E.L.P.S. (Honesty & Equality for Litigants Pro Se) and I have a plan for assisting pro se litigants through the system WITHOUT dependency on attorneys. I am interested in reviewing other plans out there to see where mine may fall short or is an improvement. Any details anyone can provide on “Schwarzenegger’s plan” would be welcomed!

Also, I am collecting signatures to my PLEDGE OF SOLIDARITY for the cause of Pro Se Litigant justce and judicial fairness. Anyone may contact me at paralegalbiz@earthlink.com and I will email it to you for your signature.

Have a great day “and JUSTICE FOR ALL.”
